If you have additional questions about cancer or the information you find here, please call the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Cancer Information Service at 1-800-4-CANCER (1-800-422-6237). TTY (teletypewriter) service is available for hearing-impaired callers at 1-800-332-8615. A trained information specialist will answer your cancer-related questions (Spanish speaking staff is available), and can also help you locate clinical trials for your type of cancer. The National Cancer Institute has created a series of excellent booklets that may be ordered with a call to the Cancer Information Service. These booklets cover various types of cancer; issues involving radiation therapy, chemotherapy and other cancer treatment methods; as well as numerous booklets about living with cancer.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) also maintains a toll free information service at 1-800-ACS-2345 (1-800-227-2345). The phone number of local ACS can be found in the white pages under American Cancer Society.

"The American Cancer Society is dedicated to empowering you with the most up-to-date and accurate cancer information available." The site also maintains an extensive list of additional web resources about cancer.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) maintains an excellent website for the public and healthcare professionals athttp://www.cancer.gov/. The information contained on Cancer.gov is reviewed regularly by oncology experts and is based on the latest research. CancerNet includes a variety of sources to help meet your cancer information needs including summaries on cancer treatment, screening, prevention, supportive care and information on ongoing clinical trials.
